Doctor Vidali is the best of the best. I was concerned with my ability to conceive given I was already diagnosed and had surgery for endometriosis. Doctor Vidali listened to my concerns and although he initially thought it would be minimal invasive surgery he still made time to fit me into his schedule. Dr. Vidali shows how much he cares for his patients by listening to them. He is very busy. It is important to have your questions ready during any follow up call because after surgery and after the follow up he will not be available. Regardless of his busy schedule I highly recommend Dr. Vidali.

Despite being an ocean and two seas away over a phone line - I felt like we were in the same room. Dr. Vidali was so warm, kind, funny and he truly HEARD ME. He listened and heard me! Anyone with endo knows how rare this is. Zero gaslighting, full honesty and so so much help and guidance with my next steps through this perilous disease. All these 5* reviews are truly warranted. I wish I could give him 10*s and a hug. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. V - you truly are THE BEST. xx

I traveled from Texas to NYC to see Dr. Vidali. He was the first doctor to empathize with me and validate my concerns and pain, and I trusted him immediately! Once I decided on surgery, his staff got me scheduled pretty quickly. My experience on surgery day was also super seamless - the hospital staff all love Dr. Vidali and made sure that I was always comfortable and taken care of. Even after surgery he still answers texts and emails, and you can just tell he is so passionate about what he does. I recommend him to everyone and 10000% would travel to him again for surgery!! Thank you Dr. Vidali!

I’ll sing Dr. Vidali’s praises to anyone who will listen. Traveling from Pittsburgh to see him is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and has a clear passion for endometriosis care. One appointment with Dr. V was more productive and validating than the two decades I spent prior, groveling and begging other doctors to take me seriously. I left shedding tears of relief that I’d finally found a doctor I could count on. His team in the office is just as kind and helpful. I’m recovering very well from the excision surgery he performed just a few short weeks later and am endlessly grateful for Dr. Vidali’s expertise and dedication to his patients. You won’t regret putting your faith in him.

After over a decade of going through dozens of doctors only to be left with worsening pain, no answers, and harmful treatments, I found Dr. Vidali. I do not know where I would be without him! Besides my surgery which was life changing, Dr. Vidali’s pre and post op care is incredible. Even two years after my surgery I had a question, and his office quickly scheduled a call for me. Dr. Vidali answered my question which put me at ease and even followed up asking about all aspects of my health and how I have been on my health journey. After going through tons of doctors, I can confidently say I would highly recommend him! He is clearly an expert in this field and is consistently up to date with all things endometriosis.

Like many women, I unfortunately fell through the cracks of Ontario’s crumbling healthcare system. Having my concerns brushed aside for over a decade and then, in the last two years, playing the waiting game as to when I would be treated is what ultimately led to my decision to travel a distance of approximately 1,500 km from Ontario to New Jersey for surgical treatment. From the moment I met Dr. Vidali during my pre-operative appointment, I knew that I was in good hands. His confident but down-to-earth and caring demeanour instilled my trust in him, and I knew I had made the best possible decision for myself. In addition to Dr. Vidali’s expertise, the lengths he goes to educate on and advocate for this disease is admirable. There aren't enough words to thank Dr. Vidali and his surgical team including Dr. McHale, Dr. Larish, and Dr. Raccuia for providing me with the utmost care. Although my operation was only 2.5 weeks ago, I am already feeling like a new person. The debilitating symptoms I was experiencing on a daily basis seem to have been taken from my body along with the extensive disease that was removed. Thanks to Dr. Vidali and his team of experts, I feel hopeful for the future.

I cannot recommend Dr. Vidali enough. He is a remarkable human being. From my initial phone consultation on April 5th to my surgery on May 25th, Dr. Vidali was able to do more for me in 7 weeks than the 6 doctors I had seen previously did in 5 years. Dr. Vidali definitely surrounds himself with the best so I knew that no matter what they encountered I would be in good hands. He was able to quickly get to the root cause of my pain instead of simply masking my symptoms. I also had a remarkably quick, pain free recovery which I 100% attribute to him and his amazing team. Thank you Dr. Vidali!

I contacted Dr. Vidali on Instagram to see if he would mind reviewing pictures from my recent laparoscopic surgery. He was very quick to respond and said yes! He provided the answers to my questions and reassured me that my endo was properly excised. I can’t thank him enough for doing this for me.

I saw Dr. Vidali for endometriosis treatment in 2021. He called me while on vacation (!!!) for my initial consultation, so I didn't have to wait too long. He took the time to listen to my long list of endo symptoms, from the physical to the social-emotional aspects of the disease. His team is as great as he is. I've been pain-free ever since my surgery, nearly 2 years now. I'm working, exercising, and enjoying life again after years of debilitating pain. I cannot recommend Dr. Vidali enough.

A Brief Overview of Endometriosis

Overview of Endometriosis | Treatment Center NYCIn this article we will give a brief overview of Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a common and often misunderstood condition that affects many people. It is a chronic disorder in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. This tissue, called endometriosis tissue, can grow on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other organs in the pelvis. It can also grow on the bladder, bowel, and other organs outside the pelvis.

Endometriosis is often accompanied by chronic pelvic pain and can also cause fertility problems. It is estimated to affect about 10% of women of reproductive age, although the actual prevalence may be higher due to underdiagnosis. Because of delayed diagnosis, endometriosis is most commonly diagnosed in women in their 30s.

What Are the Causes?

The exact cause of endometriosis is not fully understood, but there are several theories about what might contribute to its development. One prevailing theory is that endometriosis cells may be present in the pelvis at birth and grow over time. Some research suggests that endometriosis may be related to hormonal imbalances or immune system problems.

Symptoms of Endometriosis

Symptoms of endometriosis can vary widely from person to person and may include chronic pelvic pain, painful periods, pain during sex, and infertility. Other possible symptoms include fatigue, bloating, and discomfort during bowel movements or urination. The severity of symptoms does not always correspond to the extent of endometrial tissue growth, so some women with severe endometriosis may have minimal symptoms, while others with minimal tissue growth may have severe symptoms.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis of endometriosis is typically made through laparoscopic surgery, during which a thin, lighted instrument called a laparoscope is inserted through a small incision in the abdomen. The surgeon can then look inside the pelvis and see if endometrial tissue is present. A biopsy (removal of a small sample of tissue) may also be done to confirm the diagnosis.

Endometriosis Treatment Options

Treatment options for endometriosis vary depending on the severity of the condition and the woman’s symptoms and fertility goals. Treatment options include medication, surgery, and alternative therapies.

Surgical options for endometriosis include laparoscopic surgery to remove endometrial tissue and to repair any damage to the reproductive organs. Some women with endometriosis have also reported relief from dietary changes and physical therapy.

Living with Endometriosis

Living with endometriosis can be challenging, and many women find it helpful to have strategies for managing their symptoms and maintaining a good quality of life. These strategies may include:

Managing pain: This may involve taking medication, applying heat to the abdominal area, and avoiding activities that exacerbate pain.

Getting support: It can be helpful to talk to friends, family, or a therapist about the challenges of living with endometriosis. Support groups for women with endometriosis can also be a helpful resource.

Finding ways to relax and reduce stress: Stress can exacerbate endometriosis symptoms, so finding ways to relax and reduce stress can be helpful. This might include activities like meditation, yoga, or exercise.

Communicating with your healthcare provider: It is important to be open and honest with your healthcare provider about your symptoms and concerns. This can help them to better understand your condition and develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

Despite being a common condition, many people still do not understand endometriosis, and many women struggle to get the support and treatment they need. Advocacy and support for research into the causes and treatments of endometriosis can help to improve the lives of women with this condition.

Several organizations provide information, support, and resources for women with endometriosis, including the Endometriosis Summit. These organizations can be valuable resources for women seeking information and support for endometriosis.
